………………………………………………………………………………….
Ref: BMM/Jan/2012.                                               Date: 27.01.2012
AGENDA FOR BI-MONTHLY MEETING WITH D.P.S (HQ),Bg-1.
1.Violation of rules and instructions in respect of delivery of articles, especially speed posts, eMOs etc.:  Special instructions with some relaxation for delivery of UID speed post articles necessary; solely in the interest of public service and efficient delivery. More articles are being returned and the addresses are old, to be treated differently. Inclusion of mobile numbers would be useful for improvements in delivery.  Any departure from the original rules will have adverse effect upon the department/service.
2. Inclusion of ‘Absent’ remark in postman module-- most of the delivery PAs are insisting postmen staff to pass remarks ‘door lock’ against the actual remark  ‘Absent’. It is very necessary to include said remark in the module.
3.Stop oral instruction to achieve 100%performance---most of the ASPOs,PRI(P)s Delivery P.As are giving instructions to delivery staff for delivering accountable articles regd, parcels etc., to try two or three times against relevant rules and in violation of rules.
4. Using MTS services as sweepers and Night watchmen without justification.  With least concern for their age, capability the services of MTS is forced upon these staff which is highly irregular.  Proper guidelines are felt necessary.
5. Long pending cases of stepping up of pay of Postmen of Bangalore West division, Rajaji nagar HO:  This may be expedited by effective intervention.  Cases represented at Staff adalat have been considered, it is observed.    Hence without giving room for discriminative act action may be taken to settle this long pending issue.
