Sub:    Conducting of Limited Departmental Competitive Examination 
for
promotion  to the  cadre of  Inspector  Posts (66.66%) Departmental quota
 for the year 2014 and LGO Examination, 2014 

Sir/Madam,

  I am directed to refer this office letter of even number dated 
09-09-2014 wherein the Limited Departmental Competitive 
Examination for promotion of LGO to the cadre of PA/SA for the 
year 2014 to be held on 21st September, 2014 and LDCE for promotion
 to the cadre of Inspector posts for the year 2014  on 20th and 21st
 September, 2014 were postponed due to devastating flood situation in 
J & K State.

2.         Now, it has been decided to hold the above mentioned Examination
 either on 15th and 16th November, 2014 or 22nd and 23rd November, 2014 The exact schedule will be communicated shortly after fixing the venues for conducting the 
IP and LGO Examinations by the Outsourced Agency. 

3.         This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.

Comrade,
                   photos of dharna program held at Town hall Bangalore on 19th September 2014, number of participants in the dharna  program were  around 225 persons. The employees representing, Postal (P-III, P IV), RMS, P&T audit, Postal Accounts, Income Tax, CGHS, AG's, Ground Water, Survey of India, Census, Indian Meteorological dept etc participated in the dharna program.   I thank you all for making this dharna a success. 

                  It is also learnt that similar dharna program is conducted in districts such as Bellary, Mangalore, Udupi, Raichur, Mandya, Mysore, Hubli etc , a detailed report will be sent as soon it is available.  Please collect information from districts.

VALUE ADDED SERVICES IN EPOST : INDIA POST

1. This is regarding modifications in existing ePost system for sending ePost message from senders to the recipient’s email box.

2. Presently, ePost facilitate the customer to send their message to any address in India with a combination of electronic transmission and physical delivery through a network of almost 155000 Post Offices. In addition, corporate customer can also avail ePost facility at special rates and other value additions.

3. In view of the changing customer requirements from time to time it was felt that the current ePost service needed more value additions. The competent authority has decided to extend the ePost service with following features:
(I) Many To One  This facilitates sending of same ePost message from many senders to one recipient on recipient’s email box.
(a) The following activities will be performed by the booking ePost center:
· Entry of email id of recipient
· Typing of message, if any
· Scanning and attachment, if any 
· Entering the name, address and mobile number of each sender
· The number of senders will be limited to maximum 10 senders for sending one message.

(B) The Charges For This EPost Facility Is As Under:

- Rs.5/- per page of A4 size for the 1st sender
- Rs.5/- per attachment thereof (upto 1 MB)
- Rs.5/- for each subsequent sender

(Ii) One To Many :- 

This facilitates sending of same eP1ost message from a sender to multiple recipients on recipient’s email inbox.

(a) The following activities will be performed by the booking ePost center:

· Entry of email ids of all the recipients
· Typing of message, if any
· Scanning and attachment, if any 
· Entering the name, address and mobile number of the sender
· The number of recipients will be limited to a maximum of 20 recipients for sending one message.

(b) The charges for this ePost facility is as under:

- Rs.5/- per page of A4 size for the first 10 recipients.
- Rs.5/- per attachment thereof (upto 1 MB)
- Rs.3/- for each subsequent recipient from 11th to 20th recipient.
