Pakistan Post plans to open 730 new post offices

Pakistan Post Office has decided to open 730 new Post Offices at union council level in all over the country and AJK aimed at providing postal facilities to people of far-flung areas including FATA.

According to sources of the Ministry, a total 12527 Post Offices are working throughout the country, AJK, Gilgit Baltistan and FATA at this stage including Punjab (7219), Sindh (1743), Khyber Pakhtunkhaw (2246), Balochistan (509) and Federal Capital, AJK and Gilgit Baltistan (747). Out of these 12527, 492 new Post Offices were opened only during the last three years.

According to details, 271 Post Offices will be opened in three circles of Punjab including Southern Punjab Circle Multan (205), Central Punjab Circle, Lahore (58) and Northern Punjab Circle, Rawalpindi (18).

A total 212 new Post Offices will be opened in two circles of Sindh including Metropolitan Circle, Karachi (15) and Southern Sindh Circle, Hyderabad (197). In Khyber Pakhtunkhaw and Balochistan, 175 and 57 new Post Offices will be opened respectively.------------
